This core module aims to equip new M.A. students with key skills necessary for advanced study in the humanities or social sciences and with the specific skills needed to undertake research in History. It is structured as a mixture of seminars with the module convener (Andrew Tompkins) and Masterclasses taught by different members of staff. In combination, they will introduce students to key methodological concepts in History.
